Daniel E. Schultz is a civil trial attorney with over thirty-five years of experience who has represented the seriously injured and their families in a wide variety of medical negligence cases against hospitals, HMO's, physicians and other health care providers. He is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, D.C., and the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Schultz has an "AV" rating from the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. "AV is is the highest rating an attorney can received for legal ability and ethical standards from Martindale-Hubbell, which is the leading guide to legal profession in the United States. Mr. Schultz has maintained his "AV" rating from Martindale-Hubbell for over thirty years. He has focused his practice exclusively in medical negligence litigation for over a decade.

Mr. Schultz obtained his undergraduate education at Ripon College, Ripon Wisconsin, graduating with a B.A. degree with honors in 1963. He obtained his legal education at Northwestern University Law School, graduating with a J.D. degree, cum laude , in 1966.

After graduating from Northwestern University Law School, Mr. Schultz joined the Criminal Division of the Justice Department under its Honors Program. He left the Justice Department in 1969 to enter private practice. He has maintained a civil litigation practice in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area courts since that time to the present.

During his career, Mr. Schultz has been an invited speaker on a variety of subjects such as "The Use of Mental Health Professionals in Death and Personal Injury Cases" at a Civil Litigation Conference co-sponsored by Bureau of National Affairs and Law Education Institute, and "Winning at Trial: Selecting a Theme and Theory" at the Plenary Session of the Philadelphia Bar Association Bench-Bar Conference. He has been a faculty member of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (Washington Program), a Moderator at the National Annual Meeting of the American Bar Association, and a member of the Steering Committee for an Interdisciplinary Conference co-sponsored by Ripon College and the American Bar Association, and has published in the Legal Times.

Mr. Schultz's cases have been reported in both the general news media and various legal publications. He has been listed in both Who's Who in American Law and The Best Lawyers in America.

Mr. Schultz is admitted to practice before the Courts of the District of Columbia and the state of Maryland, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.

Mr. Schultz resides in Maryland and is married with six children. The focus of his outside interests has been youth sports, which has included coaching basketball for middle and elementary school children in the Montgomery County, Maryland Recreational League basketball program for over fifteen years.
